Old vintage hand carved (not turned) chess set.

It's very likely a WWI captivity prisoner's work. They were allowed to bring these home as memorabilia from the prison camps (no joke!)

This one has no any markings about that, but I saw a lot of those sets and this looks exactly like them.

If you search "prison camp chess" on google you will see them.

In nice vintage rustic condition. Complete set.
